Our Philosophy & PROCESS
At The Drawing Room, we are passionate about transforming interior spaces to create rooms that exude personality, vibrance and joy. We provide interior design, space planning, color consultation and art consultation services for an array of new construction and renovation projects. Custom residential interior design is our specialty.
We work extremely close with each of our clients, helping to create the initial conception of a design project to it’s final actualization and implementation. This means working very closely with our clients along every step of the way and working closely with contractors, architects, and hired installers to ensure that every job is carefully monitored and executed.
When beginning any project, we meet with our prospective clients at their homes to review the space(s) to discuss needs, desires, potential ideas and areas requiring problem-solving, for each room. After our initial consultation, we draw up an individualized plan for our client from the information gathered and discussed during our first meeting. After this initial meeting is when we also provide you with questionnaires to be filled out by you. It is within this initial process that we are able to delve deeper into understanding your personal aesthetic, values, and style, and gain a better sense of what design elements and concepts might best highlight your lifestyle and personal taste and best fit your budget. Communication is extremely important to us, and the more we understand our clients, the better we are able to help them achieve a space that brings them joy and happiness in their newly designed home.
After this point, we are typically well on our way to the next steps which include composing new layout options for each space, reviewing potential concepts and discussing each potential phase of development for each room. This includes selecting specific furniture, lighting, accessory, artwork, and textile options to fit your needs.

Art Consultation Services
We will source artwork options for your review, specifically tailored for your project or spaces. If you are looking for something custom-made, we will also administer this process and work closely with the chosen artist to create that perfect work of art. We work with you to identify values, taste and goals and select the ideal artwork for your project, which fits closely with your vision and budget.
BUDGET: We will work with you to utilize the best use of your budget. We will source artwork that best fits your budget whether that means sourcing original fine art, high quality prints and editions or a mix of the two.
HOME TRIALS: We allow 48 hour home trials for select works under serious consideration. Client is liable for safe-keeping and artwork taken on home trial must be fully insured by client’s home insurance policy. Client covers costs of any necessary shipping of artwork to residence.
FRAMING: We are happy to assist and help guide clients with framing if needed.
DELIVERY AND INSTALLATION: For works larger than 44x44, and being taken on home trials, artworks can only be delivered to client’s home by hired professionals at client’s expense. We will manage and administer final art installation process using our partners who are a professionals contracted out with the highest level of experience and attention to detail. Clients have the right to hang their own artwork and opt out of any assistance hanging artwork if they so choose.

The vendors, companies, artists and artisans whom we choose to work with are important to us and we handpick very carefully. We work closely with each of our vendors to guarantee quality of material, craftsmanship, and color accuracy prior to presenting materials and goods to our clients. Many of the vendors and companies we work with we have exclusive access to, in our area. The materials and products that we choose to work with are not big box stores, but companies that have made a solid commitment to us and our clients, in providing us the highest quality products and customer experience possible. We strive to search far and wide to find you the best of the best.
